DIY JUNGLE POSTER
Jungle prints and aesthetic are all the range this season; green hues and deep turquoise shades are everywhere. However, as with any trend, prices can be pretty steep, and sometimes you don’t want to commit to a full size, golden tiger or deep green wallpaper - so why not make your own jungle print? That way you can revamp your walls and still join in on the latest trend - without spending a fortune.
You will need:
- Leaves - in assorted sizes and varieties
- Paint - in green and turquoise shades (which can be easily made by mixing blue and green in varying ratios to change the shade)
- Cardboard (preferably white, but whatever colour you want)
- Frame (optional)
How to do it:
This really is such a simple, quick and inexpensive DIY that you can customise to suit your own preferences. You can change the colour of the card, the colour of the leaves, have multiple colours of leaves, the layout of the leaves - the possibilities are endless!
- Cut your cardboard to sit your frame (if necessary) and arrange your leaves to find the desired layout.
- Dip your leaves in the paint and stamp onto your paper. Don’t put too much paint on, simply give the leaf a light coat of paint and stamp.
- Idea: At this point, you could also incorporate lettering into your print with paint, such as ‘Roar’ or anything else!
- Allow to dry and then put in the frame.
- Display and enjoy your jungle aesthetic!
